THE TARN SUPPER CLUB

The Tarn Supper Club started in 1992 under the direction of the Revd. Charles Potter, then Vicar of Aldingham, Dendron, Rampside and Urswick. The reason for its formation is lost in time but it was thought that it was to provide an evening fellowship opportunity for the men - the women having the WI and MU.

The inaugural chairman was Mr. Bill Clouter who remained in the post until his retirement in November 2009 after which he was appointed Life President in recognition of his many years of service.

The club meets at  The Olde Mill on the Coast Road at Bardsea on the third Thursday of each month and enjoy a meal, fun and fellowship and an after-dinner speaker.  New Members are always welcome as those added to our membership last year will testify.
